December 2024

The following work took place:

  • The fencing on the back retaining wall was installed.
  • Donor signage has been placed.
  • Shelving, furniture and the entire library collection has been assembled and set in place.
  • The library opened on 12/02/2024 and the library dedication was held on 12/07/2024.
  • The abatement process has begun in the existing library.
Demolition of the existing library will occur in January.

October 2024

  • Light fixtures are all installed, and lighting controls are underway.
  • AV and fire alarm devices have been installed and tested.
  • Mechanical start up and testing is underway.
  • Bathroom accessories have been installed.
  • Interior and exterior signs have been hung.
  • Fence for the children’s reading plaza has been installed, along with the exterior sliding door.
  • The south parking lot has been paved and line striped.
  • Privacy fencing has been installed.
  • Landscaping and hardscapes are nearing completion.
  • Cleaning is ongoing.
  • Shelving is being assembled.
  • Elevator commissioning is completed.
  • Project has achieved temporary certificate of occupancy.
  • Furniture is being installed.

The following work is upcoming:

  • The interior children’s sliding door to be installed.
  • Program room’s operable partition to be installed.
  • Moving process to begin.
